I thought about suggesting IL for the “where should IM move to?” contest, with Madison WI as a backup (that one’s serious) but... that is the nicest DMV I’ve ever seen. Holy moly, fancy.
In your head, picture what an Illinois DMV looks like inside. Now make it 10x more run down and 100x less friendly.

The people at the Lombard, IL DMV are actually very friendly and helpful.

Do they pronounce it “Lahm-bard” or “Lum-bard”?
(Every office I’ve been in- which is pretty much most of N IL at my advanced age - is a craphole.)

Yes, all the offices are crapholes. The Lombard craphole is at least staffed by mostly nice and helpful people. The woman who gave my my motor-cycle license “road” test even brought me out a bottle of water, because it was a super hot day.
